Actv8ACTV8 motivates students to embrace all forms of technology, in a fun and exciting way. It is predicted that there will be a shortfall of 20,000 employees in ICT in the next 10 years. Actv8 aims to change this in NZ.ACTV8’s purpose is to show Kiwi teens that a technology based career doesn’t condemn them to a life as a geek and that there are great opportunities to be creative, to work with interesting people in innovative companies, to travel and to make their mark in a creative industry. Since its inception, ACTV8 has enjoyed strong support from both government and industry bodies and grown into a strong brand within the youth environment. Actv8 is the only teen magazine endorsed by the Ministry of Education. The ability to connect directly in a tangible way with the entire secondary school system creates an exciting and powerful opportunity to get kids involved and keep them informed of new initiatives, opportunities, and developments. ACTV8 fills a void in keeping teens informed, engaged and excited about technology in diverse careers such as science, music, fashion, design, engineering and sports. We are continually looking to strengthen the ties with organisations shaping our nation and provide the greatest possible source of information and opportunity to our future leaders.
