Black Magazine began life in 2006 as a quarterly and went bi-annual in 2008, increasing in size and cover price. Black's content is 100% commissioned and produced by teams in Auckland, Sydney, Melbourne, New York, London and Paris. Each issue features an average of 160 pages of fashion and beauty editorial shoots plus features, profiles, arts and culture. Black has been sold in NZ, Australia, several Asian countries, Canada and the USA. In 2009, more emphasis is being placed on direct shipping larger quantities directly to New York, London and Paris.
