URBAN - Design and Planning Trade Mag
Urban magazine is the only publication dedicated
to professionals working within New Zealand’s urban
planning and design sector.
Two thousand copies of each issue of the magazine are distributed to design and planning consultancies,
architectural firms, development companies and to surveyors.
The magazine is finding a strong readership in the urban planning departments of all 85 councils
around New Zealand and in central government agencies such as the Ministry for the Environment, which prepared the Urban Design Protocol.
The publishers of Urban are forging a close working relationship with the newly established Town
and City Centre organisation, which has affiliations with similar organisations in the US and in Australia.
The magazine’s stated aim of covering urban design issues in both Australia and New Zealand is
sparking strong interest from across the Tasman.
The message from readers is that the concept and content of the magazine is right on target for its
market - a professional sector that employs thousands of people and is the prime shaper of our cities and towns.
